It would be easier to refer to them as "zombie guns" (shooting zombies in the head). I think Mad Max carried an older double barrel version in the movies.
I like bird's head grips like that on stockless shotguns as well. I find they push straight back, where the AR type grips act as a fulcrum to increase felt recoil. Pity they're difficult get to work with a folding stock.
I have a Dickinson 12 gauge I need to try out to make sure it doesn't blow up on me. I put a laser on it with the intent to just fire from the hip. It has a pistol grip and full stock. Is this realistic? So far it's just sitting there in my closet.
Pistol-gripped full stocks like that are designed to ease the angle on the wrist when firing from the shoulder. They can actually be a little awkward from the hip. By all means give it a shot, (so to speak,) see what you think. With the laser, assuming it's properly sighted, you shouldn't have the usual trouble with wild shots from the hip.
That said, it wouldn't be my go-to, personally. Seems like all the disadvantages of the Shockwave with none of the advantages. But then I used to shoot competitively, so I've got a jillion reps shooting the usual way. 🤷♂️
Seriously, though, the birds head grip really does improve things over a perpendicular pistol grip. Push- pull makes it even better. And semi- auto on top of that? It's probably a pussycat.
As always great review/posting, always enjoy reading your work.
Thanks!

I think that a 3lb coffee can full of finishing nails and a stick of dynamite might work better on the crows
Non S version has been very effective at dispatching many critters. Sure beat out professional trappers

Be safe, and have fun!
I bought the Remington semi-auto version (V3 Tac 13) around 5 years ago because it looks nasty and I haven't shot it yet. Too afraid lol.
Poor, neglected shorty shotty. 🥺 That's so sad!

Push-Pull is the magic step. 🤠
