Sig really knocked it out with the 365 series, in ergos and capacity to size. I carry a X Macro often. The issue is the trigger is hot garbage. It cannot be broken cleanly. The "wall" is solid but doesnt break at the same time as the striker actually goes off. So you can break the wall but not trigger the weapon, then it will move another 1/16 of an inch and you fire or click.

Yikes. 🫣 That does not sound great, that's for sure.

I speak from a place of pure ignorance on all things Sig, though. I've never owned one, don't think I've ever even shot one.

*correction: I did rent the Mustang- alike... P238? once.

I just watched the goings on, seems like they do their final testing on the public. Seems like most of the time they release a new gun, there's a lawsuit, then a recall, (or maybe not a recall...)

I just don't need to buy into that drama. 🫣

Have a look at the Bersa TPR in full size and compact versions. I have the previous generation - the Thunder Pro Ultra Compact and the Thunder Pro High Capacity.

My first handgun was a S&W Model 645. And I still have it some forty-odd years later.

That's great! I'll admit, the DA S&Ws are one of the biggest gaps in my firearms knowledge.

A former colleague was devoted to them, carried one in a shoulder holster. First day I noticed, he had the holster hung from his office doorknob, and the gun laid by his mouse pad. All I could see was the shiny stainless butt and the single stack mags in the leather. I leaped to the obvious conclusion: 1911. When he said, no, it's a 4506, I must've looked pretty blank. 🫣🤭 "Huh?"

"Old school double action..."

I have a CZ97, which is chambered in god’s caliber. Heavy as hell, but a sweet trigger and accurate.

I've handled those. Like Mjollnir, only the worthy can wield them.

Nine years ago when my daughter was turning 21, she told me she wanted a CCW pistol she could count on and that she would be comfortable carrying. We spent close to four hours on a range shooting almost every 9mm, .380, .45 and even .38/.357 pistols and revolvers. As we were getting tired, the range owner brought down a CZ-75 and her prayers were answered! It goes with her everywhere! Hiking, dinner, jogging, in her truck, on her bike. After nines years she hasn’t found a place or a way she can’t take it. And the even with the high miles she runs weekly, the finish is still nice!

That's great! I think more CZs have been sold on the basis of how great they feel in the hand than any other pistol.

Glock, for example, sells in spite of how awful they feel in the hand. 🤪

I carry a Sig 365. I like the DAO for safety and the size and capacity for carry. I've never owned a CZ, wouldn't turn one down.

Great article.

Just bought a 645, to replace the one I traded for a Springfield 3.3. What a horrible piece of plastic crap that is. So going back to my 645, be here Friday. 3.3 goes to backup. I hate plastic guns. I hate striker fired guns. So I’m back to that long pull safety. Always worked for me. Had a cz75 before the 645. The 645 was required as the cz rusted in my shorts. Spent all day on the beach with a food cart. The 645 got a little crusty, but I’m retired now. It will be on my hip.

Rusting a CZ is impressive. Sounds like that environment would do it, though. Was it one of the older blued ones? Or the "polycoat" they put on now?

It was an older one. I guess. It was new to me in probably 2008? Then in 2014 with the beach cart I knew it wasn’t up to the task. So I went to the 645, and now I’m on 645ii
